Twenty Twenty-One - A Phoenix Spun

Happy New Year to all of our Future Fit Food Fans.

We are sure most of you are pleased to see 2020 in your rearview mirrors, and while we still have a ways to go with the pandemic, we can now begin to see the light penetrating at the end of this seemingly endless long, dark tunnel.

But hopefully, for you, like us, we can also reflect on those moments in 2020; even though tragic events impacting our family or our neighbors, we realized personal progress, gained new life experiences like making sourdough bread, climbing to new heights, lending a hand, gaining new superpowers, and making us more resilient from now onwards.

Like many of you, it's been a whirlwind for these Wonder Twins "ACTIVATING" an impact business during a pandemic, yet we are making progress and every day we get a little bit closer to launch.

For those of you that have followed our blog since its launch in April of 2020, you have followed our journey, our inspiration, our curiosity questioning single-use plastic and clean labels, our initiating food development, evaluating value chain impacts, and how we can create more value than we destroy for people and planet. You have witnessed the creative process of our visual identity, the launch of our first food product brand "Virtue Pods", and the establishment of our superhero Advisory Network which we are truly humbled to have on our side.

We are grateful to many of you that have helped us along the way giving your time, your expertise, your passion for change, and who continue to share our vision of the future of food.

Our go-to-market strategy is complete, as is our value creation model with the help of some wickedly smart and capable women from the University of Michigan, including extensive consumer panels obtaining incredible feedback on our food prototypes that led to great learning and optimization in the food we will soon bring to you.

We have also trialed scaling up production in a co-manufacturing facility, so while for us progress has seemed slow, we do know that we are making progress in getting to market soon.

In reflection, some of the work this year has been as magical as Mr. Wonka's, and some of the tasks as mundane as an Oompa Loompa's.

We still have a ways to go, including finalizing our Insta Fresh product and finding the most viable shelf-stable packaging solution with a net positive impact on the planet, but we are now getting very close.

We wanted to leave you with some insights from our consumer panels that we find most encouraging.

"It explodes into beautiful vegetables.”

“High quality, feels, and tastes like fresh.”

“It looks like something I would get at a restaurant.”

“Texture is a big deal, like the crunch.”

So, let's all rise like the mighty Phoenix, shedding the old and unwanted into the fiery blaze of 2020.

We are grateful to all of you for continuing this journey with us in 2021 as we work tirelessly to bring novel, convenient and impactful foods your way.

Stay tuned...

Sean and Paloma
